:: We Are Still Alive ::
Its been a touch quiet around this neck of the inter-woods of late. Sorry about that, we've been a bit busy off-line. There are new songs that have been written and to be written. We've been asked to do a some nice festivals, like Hoogie and Livid. And we've been practising up our dance moves in the practise room.

:: Hoogie 2003 Is Dead (by Ian) ::
On Saturday night we did the Hoogie Fest in Dalby. Twas a really good day. We arrived early in convoy around about lunchtime giving us plenty of time to soak up the local atmosphere. Beers and greasy food was partaken of. We checked out some local sounds with Greg Charles and The Autumn Giants and we also checked our own with Denvar, but mostly we just sat around and talked the talk.

Hoogie Overlord 'Cookie' had decided that this years festival was gonna 'flow' so all manner of time-tabling weirdness prevailed...Iron On were scheduled to play between Magic Dirt and the Superjesus on this little stage off to one side. On paper we thought [adopt sarcastic nasally rock voice] 'Yeah !!! Iron On hit the big time, send us the cocaine, strippers and money'...but on the night we felt more 'We're out of our depth and would quite like a nervous vomit, send us some buckets'. We worry too much, like always. It was fine. No it was more than fine, I had a great time. The Dalby punters were very cool as well and made us feel welcome. Magic Dirt watched us side of stage and afterwards were as nice as I've always secretly hoped they would be. Hail, hail the Dirt. So thanks to Cookie & The Dalby Youth Council for making us rockstars. Thanks to Bryce Moorhead for making us sound like rock stars. Thank you for attending if indeed you did attend. And apologises to Sekiden whom we had agreed to converse with over the warring PAs exactly halfway thru our set...in the heat of the moment we forgot. Okay, okay...I forgot.

And that's were the indie-rockstardom ended I'm afraid. As smarter bands rocketed homeward on the Brispop bus we searched in vain for the after party. As per usual we couldn't find it and walked around in the cold for a while looking. It got worse, upon arrival back at the motel there was something of a nu-metal frat party happening in front of our room. Those dudes party like the early 90s never happened, riot grrrl included. We barricaded the door to protect us against further bouts of drunken jock on jock dry humping upon our beds and tried to crash. I drifted off to sleep listening to the muttering of road crew war stories about the last Angels tour (ever!)...and then was promptly woken up every five minutes for the rest of the night. Ahhhh, another completed rock cliche to add to the list.

Overall, it was rad. I wanna play next year.

:: Website Is Deadsite ::
There is more content coming soon. Some flash new photos and some additional MP3s. No seriously.

:: Upcoming Shows ::
Katie C has been working her HTML mojo over in the gig guide section. Check out the new listings. We're playing Livid, [adopt sarcastic nasally rock voice] 'Yeah !!! Iron On hit the big time, send us the cocaine, strippers and money'. If you didn't find that too funny we recommend reading the about paragraphs. Oh right...you didn't think they were funny either. Okay. Sigh.

:: T-Shirts Are The Anti-Christ of Indie-Rock ::
True story. They are a total pain in the ass. Between fashion requirements of half the band and the hard-nosed ethical stance of the remainder, tee-shirts have been a loooooong time coming in Camp Iron On. We're happy to report that soon, before Livid even, you will be free to purchase (or refuse purchase) of 100% sweat shop free, Australian made shirts emblazoned with some form of Iron On related tomfoolery. They will be chocolate brown. That is all.
