:: Last Show For 2004 ::
We're doing our last show for 2004. All good things come to an end. And fuck that we say! 2004 was a load of shit, we're glad it's nearly over. To celebrate the passing of this year into oblivion we're gonna play a show that will hopefully act as some sort of clearing house for the collective scorn each and every one of us has for this year of our lord. Come along and shake your fist in the air. Argh...my office job sucks. Argh, argh...I'm lonely. Argh, argh, argh...Jet. You get the picture.
The show is THIS THURSDAY at the Jubilee Hotel (Upstairs) with two excellent bands: Black Level Embassy (from Melbourne - one of the dudes from this band used to play in both Ricaine AND Warped) and Dick Nasty (one of the dudes from this band is gonna be celebrating his birthday so maybe you should buy him 50 beers or something). Actually Iron On always play with Dick Nasty when one of them is celebrating a birthday; only one member of the band didn't celebrate his birthday with a Dick Nasty/Iron On show in 2004. Weird huh, they better come play at all our birthdays next year.
In other news:
Yeah there isn't any. We're still writing new songs for that debut record we keep talking about. If you're from a record label that doesn't rape and pillage the creative process as a matter of principle AND you wanna put it out, you should contact us at abandcalledironon@hotmail.com because we're for sale this time round. We've done it ourselves in the past, it was fun but we wanna at least think about trying something different next time round. Don't worry Ruth Street will still continue being a comfy chair for unfashionable indie-rock bands. We've got a new record coming out on the label in February (more details later).
