Things have been playing up like a second hand lawnmover around this little part of the internet. Sorry 'bout the confusion. It should all be back to normal now.

We felt like putting this up on our website...
:: Iron On With Guitars And Drumsticks ::
The absolute last thing Iron On wants to do is tell you how to think, feel or act. That's not what we're about, period. We don't write protest music, our band is not, and never will be, a propaganda vehicle for anyone, good cause or otherwise. We think, feel and act politically as individual people and at the moment we're all thinking about War and Iraq. We're all scared and confused, no doubt like a lot of you all are...and for the same reason: we don't have all the facts and answers either. But we're trying to engage this issue by attempting to better understand it and we encourage you to do the same. Get active party people, don't go to sleep on this one, there's too much at stake. In two years time we want to still be holding GUITARS (and DRUMSTICKS) NOT GUNS...unless, of course, we happen to be drunk and/or holding up a liquor store. Peace out indie-rockers. See you at the library and take care now, yr hear.

In The Studio. We're sorta halfway done in the studio. We spent all of last week at Zero Interference with Bryce Moorhead recording our instruments with microphones and computers. This week we're going in to mix the songs. The EP is going to have five songs: Everything Takes Too Long, Ruddy, Best Or Less, Old Cat and Sleep In. Sleep In was originally recorded and mixed by Nicola Morton at Griffith Uni, we're going to have a tinker with it but it'll be the same recording. The finished product will be out sooner rather than later on our own imprint Ruth Street Records and will more than likely feature some artwork by Trish of SpikedPunch infamy. We'll have some studio photos up here real soon...and yes every pic is of gear we borrowed/used. Such dorks it hurts at times.

Some New Photographs. We're photo mad in this band, duh: Lomo, Holga, Polaroid...its almost getting as bad as the music-gear-whoredom. And a lot of our friends take photos too, like Steph who took some photos of us and Denvar the other week when we played at Rics. The photos are here, check 'em out. Steph took them with a swell digital camera we hadn't seen before and the verdict was: Digital rules but is waaaay addictive. She took more than 80 photos in one afternoon...chronic already. Thanks to everyone who came to that show too, we dug yrs.

Recording Starts Next Week. After the Rics Cafe show this weekend we're planning on disappearring for about a month to record our EP with Bryce (see below for further info on him and that) and write/learn some new songs. We're not exactly sure when the CD is coming out but it probably won't be all that far off. And we're not exactly sure what the CD is gonna be called either but it probably won't be 'Dude, I physically can't hear a thing!'...but you never know. Hey why not email/guestbook us a suggested EP title.
