Oh Oh, Oh, the Romance !!!!!!!
Oh the romance hits stores this coming Monday (5th September) nationally. It's been an odd year to say the least. We are very happy that the album is finally out (well I mean out on Monday, but before then I guess anything can happen. A lightening bolt may strike our freshly pressed cd's at the pressers just as they are about to be shipped). It's a relief and we are excited and busy and I personally am kinda hungry.
Things are gearing up again (thank god - as in you, me and everyone we know - which incidently is the name of an amazing new film by Miranda July). We spent last Friday making a film clip for the first single off the new record. Our October tour dates will be posted very soon. We are screening new t-shirts and bags in the neighbour's garage. The website is going to be spruced up. There is heaps more going on but I am having trouble concentrating. As I (Kate) post this I am watching Clerks at our manager's insistence. I saw it when I was 13 or something and I didn't get it. Steve seemed to think that the fact that I hadn't watched it was hindering our band/manager relationship. I am trying to rectify this. I have also learnt (at Steve's insistence) that AFL stands for Australian Football League (they wear the smaller, tight shorts) and kicking 11 goals in one game is really good. A goal is when the ball goes through the two tall posts and is worth 6 points...I think that's right.
Oh - LADYFEST STARTS NEXT WEEK! TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW AT SKINNY'S AND ROCKINGHORSE! HOP TO IT!
Take Care
